We pour up to five hand-pulled cask ales, plus a wide selection of lagers, ciders and stouts, including our signature George Best Bitter, brewed especially for us by local Oxfordshire brewery Loddon.
Other permanent draught bitters are Timothy Taylor’s Landlord and Harvey’s Sussex Best, alongside seasonal local and regional guest beers and cask classics such as Theakston’s Old Peculier, Bass and Loose Cannon Abingdon Bridge.
Our regulars come from miles to sample our Guinness, the best for miles around, and we also serve the 0% version on draught.
Other products we serve on draught include Cruzcampo, Birra Moretti, Asahi lagers, Camden Pale Ale, plus Orchard Thieves cider.
We are also one of the first pubs in the area to serve Heineken 0% on draught.
Wines & Spirits
Our extensive wine list takes in over 50 wines and champagnes, including many of our personal favourites, with highest quality and great value always in mind.
We offer over 100 spirits, including many from local distilleries, including ‘Blewburton Hill’, our house gin from Blewbury, located just a mile away. Our in-house mixologist also curates an ever-changing list of cocktails.
We provide a wide selection of low and no alcohol drinks, as well as our soft drink selection, with many sugar free, low sugar and other healthier options. We are proud to be a J20-free zone!
We stock a variety of Mr Filbert’s bar snacks, as well as Yorkshire crisps and popcorn a and other confectionary to enjoy with your drinks at the bar.

Its’ lower alcohol volume at 8.5% makes it the perfect choice for lunch and lighter dishes. Delicious!

A true “Vin de France” – a blend of Chardonnays from the Languedoc (70%), Gascogne (15%) and the Loire (15%). Unoaked and fermented in steel tanks to preserve freshness, this is a deliciously fruit-forward style. A rounded pallet of green apples and citrus notes are balanced by zippy acidity.

Unusually, this red wine is served chilled. Definitely our pick of interesting and unusual reds that work well in the warmer months.

Enchanting deep and dark colour, almost black. Rich and intense nose with delicious black fruits aromas. On the palate the attack is powerful, generous and smooth. The tannins are fleshy and tasty. Really harmonious with a mineral touch finish that reinforces its aromatic freshness. A fantastic Bordeaux from St Emilion.
30* £95 Rombauer ‘Twin Rivers’ Zinfandel, 2019 (USA)
A true wildcard on our wine list. Ultrasmooth in texture and impressively ripe in flavour, this very full-bodied single vineyard wine from El Dorado in the Sierra foothills offers tempting, almost-sweet, blackberry and dried plum flavours, shaded by light woodsmoke, chocolate and black pepper. Extremely difficult to find outside the US.

It’s sweet nose and clear, rounded, chocolate aromas stand out over background hints of coffee, liquorice, wild forest fruit jam, candied tomato, black olive and a touch of floral. BLÅ starts out with delicate aromas of jasmine, chamomile and a hint of citrus, followed by a round taste from the careful selection of white teas and accompanied by good complexity and depth from the green teas. It ends in a long finish joined by comfortable tannins created by the Darjeeling First Flush. The colour is light green with yellow nuances. Expensive, but easily the best non-alcoholic wine alternative we have ever tried.
